Recording Vineyard Data

Overview

Recording Vineyard Data

In Blended, you can record data for your vineyard blocks to keep track of important information throughout the winemaking process. Use the checkbox to select one or multiple rows and then use the dropdowns to input data.

Measurements

Blended allows you to capture various measurements, such as phenology data and chemical analysis. Phenology data includes crop stages like budbreak, flowering, fruit set, and veraison. You record the percentage of the block that has achieved each stage on a given date.

For chemical analysis, capture common values such as Brix, pH, TA, and Malic acid levels. You can input custom measurements as well. Recording a combination of measurements will create a shortcut in Blended, making it easier to perform the same set of measurements in the future.

Measurements taken on the same day will:

  • Show the latest measurement in the Vienayrd Dashboard

  • Show the average in the Events Table

  • Show each individual measurement when the Events Table is in Edit Mode

Operations

Blended supports recording various operations for vineyard blocks. These include estimating harvest dates, calculating expected tonnage, capturing notes, and receiving grapes.

Harvest

Use this option to estimate the harvest date and expected tonnage for each block. The information entered here will also appear in the calendar under the Calendar tab.

Tonnage

The tonnage tool acts as a crop estimating calculator. Enter details like the number of vines, clusters per vine, and cluster weights. Blended will then help calculate your anticipated production.

Notes

This feature allows you to capture generic notes and observations about your vineyard blocks.

Receive Grapes

This function initiates the intake workflow to receive fruit from the selected block. It helps ensure that the grapes are tracked from the moment they enter the facility.
