The History tab is a visual representation of how the lot was made. It gives the user an ability to step through volume and composition shifts within the lot and explore, through linked pages, the parent and child lots connected.
This article explains the nuances of the History tab within Blended.
Navigating to History
To navigate to History, navigate to Production and click on the name of any Lot. A number of tabs will be available, all related to the Lot selected. History will be an option.
History Graphic
The central axis represents the Lot's history from top to bottom. Arrows in represent volume entering the Lot and arrows out representing volume leaving the Lot.
Along the central axis, events that change the the volume of the Lot will generate a box showing the volume at that point in time.
Input and Output boxes, shown on the left side of the graphic, are all hyperlinks. Users can click on them to quickly navigate to the History tab of another Lot. In the graphic below, 2023-OAT-CabSauv is a link to that lot's history.
Pie Chart
The pie chart on the History tab shows the breakdown of the selected variable at the selected point in time. The point in time defaults to current and is show by the black highlighting (shown below). By clicking on other boxes along the central axis, users can change the point in time of the pie chart's visual to that selected point.
Use the point in time to step through a Lot's composition change over time. By selecting on either side of a blend or topping event, you can see how composition is changing as new gallons enter the Lot.
Origin
Under the Origin sub tab, users can select composition variables such as Clone, Variety, AVA, Block, District, Date Received, etc. Use the dropdown to select the desired variable.
Each section of the pie chart will be shown in a corresponding table along with the total number of gallons (point in time specific) and percentage. These rows can also be selected to highlight where that particular output entered the target Lot.
Additions
Selecting the Additions sub tab will shift the History graphic to display additive history through time. Users should also select a corresponding Additive Category. The graphic will show adds made directly into the Lot as well as amounts of that additive blended into the lot from other sources. The central axis shows a concentrate amount over time based on these events.
Below is an example for SO2 adds. Blended normalizes various SO2 products so that we can show a potassium metabisulfite equivalent amount through time, expressed as a g/L concentration.
