Overview
Leverage production protocols to efficiently record data. Protocol steps appear as icons in the operations column on your dashboards. Clicking an icon opens its workflow, allowing you to record data and confirm completion with a green checkmark or track repeating steps with a numerical indicator.
Refer to the 'Create Protocols' section to learn how to set up your protocols effectively.
Icons
Protocol steps are represented as icons on your dashboard. Hovering your mouse over an icon will display its title. Subscript numbers denote repeating steps and their frequency in days; for example, twice per day will be denoted as 0.5.
Icons are representative of the steps contained within; generally, they are as follows:
Additions: A teaspoon icon
Measurements: A beaker icon
Operation (Action): A clipboard icon
Saignee or Press: A circle with a question mark
Composite Step: The first Letter(s) of the step title (ie, Cap Management becomes CM)
Transfers: Two arrows pointing inward at each other
Advance Stage: A single arrow pointing to the right
Click on an icon to initiate its workflow. Fill out the modal and save; it will be recorded.
Protocol Logic
The green checkmark denotes completed steps. Checkmarks occur independently of the icon chosen. To determine if a step is checked, Blended compares the actual event stream of the Lot with what's called for in the protocol and sequentially checks off everything that has occurred.
Events that are recorded outside of a protocol step, either through a work order or direct data entry, will still check protocol steps off if they are called for within the protocol.
If you aren't seeing steps checked off and believe they should be, double-check what's called for in the protocols. Steps must match events exactly. Additive names not matching is the most common reason a checkmark does not generate.
Skip a Step
To bypass specific actions or an entire step within a protocol, you can skip individual actions within a step or select the option to skip all actions within the step. Record the step after skipping to receive the green checkmark, indicating that the step has been processed. Skipping an action counts toward the protocol's requirements, and the system acknowledges it as addressed.
Advance Lot Stage
To move a lot from its current production stage to the next, use the arrow icon associated with the lot to advance it. Alternatively, highlight the lot and select the "Advance" button under the operations column to move it to the next stage. Confirm the advancement to complete the stage transition.
