Vessel Groups act as a temporary link between vessels for the purposes of relating to a Lot. Use vessel groups to express that a Lot is currently being held within more than 1 vessel.
Editing the composition of a vessel group that contains an active Lot will update the group without recording a specific transfer event. Adding a vessel will associate the Lot with the new vessel, and removing a vessel will remove the association from the Lot as of the selected date.
Creating Vessel Groups
We typically recommend creating groups from the facility section when you are trying to achieve a specific goal within your barrel program. The filtering options within the facility allow users to identify the underlying characteristics they are looking for and easily create a grouping that can be used in the future.
Select Vessels
From the Facility section in Blended, use the checkboxes to select the vessels that you want to include within the new group. This can include tanks, barrels, or a combination.
Use the Add to Group dropdown and either select an existing Vessel Group or Create a New Group at the bottom of the menu.
