QR Codes, Zebra Scanners and Bar Codes

Overview

Blended offers the ability to print QR Codes that enable additional mobile functionality. QR Codes are designed to be attached to any type of vessel and stay with that vessel.

Scanning a QR Code outside of a work order or workflow will display the vessel information, including the current Lot. This makes it easy to record events against that Lot.

Scanning a QR Code within a work order or movement workflow will enable you to quickly create or edit vessel groups.

  1. Go to Facility

  2. Select the vessel(s) that you would like to print labels for

  3. Click the Print labels button in the menu bar

  4. Complete the Print Labels modal

  5. Initiate the printing process

Printing Labels for Vessel Groups: If you select a vessel group, Blended will print the labels for any vessels within that group.

The Print Labels modal enables users to specify the formatting of their labels.

Choose a preset Avery format to have the labels automatically fit those specifications.

Choose Custom if you'd like to specify formatting directly.

Use Custom for any non-Avery format

  • Type in the number of stickers on a given page in the rows and columns and this mode will auto-adjust the margins to fit your formatting

Scanners

Blended has support for most newer Zebra Scanner devices. Contact your Blended support representative for instructions on getting Blended installed on your Zebra device.

Scanning devices support the ability to create and update vessel groups through continuous scanning, either as direct data entry or through work orders.

Bar Codes

Blended does not generate bar codes. We do have the ability to link existing bar codes to vessels within Blended. Contact your Blended support representative to discuss options.
