Concepts
Blended is Lot-centric, meaning activities are tracked by Lot. A single Lot may live within one or many vessels, but we assume that all liquid is homogeneous from a composition perspective.
Vessels are optional. Users may assign vessel(s) to a Lot, or Lots may exist within Blended without an associated vessel. Being in a vessel or not has no bearing on your ability to perform activities or write work orders against that Lot.
A Note on Data Entry
Blended makes no distinction between data entered directly or via work orders. Use whichever process is desirable within your workflow. Every workflow available via work orders can be completed directly.
Production View
Viewing Wine Lots
Blended is organized through Tabs that represent Stages within your production protocols. The tabs shown in Production will be a superset of all stages contained within active protocols. Lots will also appear in the All Lots tab, as well as their corresponding stage tab.
Tab Naming
Use consistent naming conventions in your production protocols to avoid redundant tabs.
Intake and Topping
Intake will always appear on the Processing tab. Users have the option to add the Intake table to any tab using the Edit Tab functionality shown below. To Edit Tabs, use the pencil icon located to the right of your last tab.
The Topping table can also be added to any tab. The Topping table displays the current designated topping Lots and their reserved volumes. Users have the option to add the Topping table to any tab using the Edit Tab functionality shown below. To Edit Tabs, use the pencil icon located to the right of your last tab.
Restore Defaults
Within the edit tabs menu, you will see a button called Restore Defaults. If you've made significant changes to your protocol tabs, clicking this button will take a new superset of active tabs across your protocols.
