Materials Section
Access Materials to Manage Inventory
Access the Materials section to manage your winemaking components. View existing materials and prepare to add new ones. Within this section, you will find standard tabs for Additives and Packaging. Use the 'Add Batch' button to begin adding new inventory items.
Create a New Product
Create a new product to add it to your inventory. You can add a product as a general material, selecting a new tab for it, or add it directly as an additive. This ensures your new material is correctly categorized and ready for detailed input.
Product Details Input
Enter Product Name and Assign Tab
Enter the product name to identify your new material. Designate the tab where the product belongs to ensure it appears in the correct inventory section.
Select Product Category
Select a product category that aligns with your winemaking protocols. This categorization links the material to specific production processes for accurate tracking and management.
Categories Tie to Protocols
Categories are not just labels; they directly link to your production protocols. Choose categories to streamline your workflow.
Specify Standard Quantity
Specify the standard quantity for the product. This quantity serves as the default amount when adding batches and can be defined using various units.
Set Standard Addition Rate
Set the standard addition rate for the product. This rate applies by default when you are not using a specific production protocol, streamlining addition recording.
Define Unit of Measure
Define the unit of measure for the standard quantity and addition rate. This ensures consistency and accuracy when recording inventory levels and usage.
Product Saving and Batch Creation
Save Product
Save the product details to finalize its creation. The product is then registered in the platform and ready for batch creation to begin inventory tracking.
Add Batch to Product
Add a batch to your newly created product to track specific inventory instances. After saving the product, select the checkbox next to the product name and then select 'Add Batch' to record a new lot of this material.
Enter Batch Details
Enter necessary batch details, including a unique batch code, received date, and available quantity. Optionally, set an expiration date. This information allows precise tracking of individual material batches.
Save Batch
Save the batch details to record the new inventory lot. This action adds the specific batch to your product's inventory, making it available for production processes and ensuring accurate stock management.
