Upon Lot creation, Blended asks for an initial tax designation. If the material being used to create the lot is Juice or Grapes, Blended asks for a Production Purpose. If the lot is being created from Bulk Wine, then a tax class will be assigned.
Production Purpose
A production purpose is the intended use for the grapes or juice. Options include:
Wine Production: If you intend to ferment the grape material, choose this option.
Juice Production: If you intend to press grapes and sell the juice pre-fermentation outside your facility, choose this option.
Concentrate Production: If you intend to use the grapes to produce concentrate for sale, choose this option.
Once a production purpose has been assigned, it can be changed through the tax class assignment workflow.
