CSV Import
Overview
Discover how to import CSV data through Account Settings
in Blended by selecting Import Data
from the dropdown menu. Ensure your CSV files match the accepted format for a successful import experience.
Blended can import any data type through the importer. The import reads sequentially from top to bottom. CSV files can have any combination of data types within a single file. Follow the format for the particular data type(s) that you are importing.
Access CSV Import
Navigate to Account Settings
To navigate to the CSV import, click on the Account
menu located in the top right corner of your Blended app. From the dropdown menu, select Import Data
. Ensure you are in the correct account settings area before continuing.
Select Import Data
After accessing the Account
menu, click on Import Data
to proceed with the CSV import process. Ensure you have the correct permissions to import data.
CSV Format Requirements
Understand Accepted Formats
Ensure your CSV files adhere to the specified formats required by Blended. Verify that column headers and data types match the required schema. Avoid using unsupported characters or formats.
Verify CSV format before importing
Make sure your CSV file follows the accepted format. Check for common issues like incorrect delimiters and mismatched columns to prevent import errors.
Prepare Your CSV File
Organize your data carefully before importing it to Blended. Double-check for any errors or inconsistencies to avoid failed imports.
Once your data is organized, save the file in CSV format. This ensures compatibility with Blended and minimizes the risk of import issues.
Importing Data Process
Drag and Drop CSV File
Locate the download box
within the import interface. Drag your prepared CSV file into the box and wait for Blended to read and process the data. Ensure the file is fully uploaded before proceeding.
Confirm Data Preview
After dragging the CSV file into the download box, Blended will display a preview of your data. Review this preview carefully to check for any discrepancies or errors. If you notice any issues, make necessary corrections.
Once you have verified that the data appears correct, click the Import
button to finalize the data import. If there are errors, an error code will be provided, allowing you to address the issue before proceeding.
Error Handling
Identify Error Codes
If an error occurs during the CSV import process, Blended will display an error code. Refer to the error code documentation to understand the cause of the error. Ensure you fully comprehend the error before attempting to resolve it.
Resolve Import Errors
Follow the recommended steps to address the specific error code. Make necessary corrections to your CSV file. Reattempt the import after resolving the issues.
