Create Vessel Groups

Overview

This section illustrates the process for creating vessel groups within the Blended platform. Use vessel groups when a Lot is located between multiple vessels.

Create the group before you transfer the Lot

As you get ready to transfer a Lot in Blended to multiple vessels, the first step should be ensuring that your vessel group is created and populated. This ensures that when you use the transfer modal the dropdown will be populated with your desired group.

Creating Vessel Groups

Select Vessels

To create a vessel group in Blended, first navigate to the Facility section from the main navigation menu on the left side of the screen.

Once you are in the Facility section, you will see a table displaying all your vessels. If you already have vessel groups, they will be listed here.

To add vessels to a group, use the checkboxes on the left side of each row to select the barrels and/or tanks you want to include in the group. You can select multiple vessels by checking multiple boxes.

Check To Select

Use the checkboxes on the left side of the table to select multiple vessels, barrels, and tanks for group management.

This interaction pattern exists across the Blended platform experience.

Add to Existing Vessel Groups

To add selected vessels to an existing group in Blended, first go to the Facility section. Here, you will see a table listing all available vessels. Use the checkboxes on the left side of each row to select the vessels you want to group.

After selecting the desired vessels, scroll to the top of the table and click the Add to group button.

Adding vessels to an existing group that contains a Lot

If you add a new vessel to an established group that currently contains a Lot, that Lot will automatically be transferred into the vessel added to that group.

Create New Vessel Groups

If you want to create a new group, click the Add to new group option at the bottom of the dropdown menu that appears after selecting the vessels you wish to place in a new group.

A modal will appear where you can name your new vessel group. Enter the desired name in the provided field.

If you want to add properties to the group, use the two fields available in the modal. In the first field, type the name of the property (e.g., warehouse), and in the second field, type the corresponding detail (e.g., location). This can help with organization and management.

Removing Vessels From Groups

To remove a vessel from a group, select the vessel to be removed. In the table menu, you will see an option called Remove From Group. Click this button and select the date the vessel was removed from the group.

Removing a vessel from a group will automatically update the location information of any Lots associated with that group. For example, if Lot A was being held in group and Barrel 22-01 was part of that group. Removing 22-01 from that group would also remove Lot A from that barrel and mark it as empty.
