Managing Facility Data

Unique Vessel Names

Giving each vessel a unique name in Blended is important for effective tracking and management within the facility.

When vessels have unique names, you can easily identify and differentiate them. This reduces confusion and prevents errors during various operations. For example, when creating or managing work orders, unique names ensure that the correct vessel is selected.

Additionally, unique names improve the search functionality in Blended. You can quickly locate a specific vessel by entering its name in the search bar. This is especially useful if you have many vessels in your facility.

Suggestions for Tanks

For tanks, bins, and other non-barrel vessels, we typically see naming conventions that use the Type of Vessel and a Number. For example, using T-01 for a steel tank and B-01 for a bin.

Suggestions for Barrels

For barrels, we typically see naming conventions that use the vintage of the barrel and a number. For example, barrels purchased new in 2024 would then carry the name 24-01 and so on.

Vessel Groups

In Blended, vessel groups help manage multiple vessels efficiently. A lot can be stored in one or more vessels, and to streamline this process, you can create a vessel group.

To create a vessel group, you start by naming the group uniquely to avoid any confusion with other groups or vessels. Once you have named the group, you can add individual vessels to it. This grouping allows you to handle large batches by treating the group as a single entity.

By using vessel groups, you can perform operations more efficiently, especially when dealing with many vessels. It allows you to distribute and cascade lots into the components of the group, facilitating easier control and management of your production data.

Search Functionality

Blended offers a comprehensive search functionality to help you find specific data related to facility management. The search bar is located above the data table and is accompanied by various filter options.

To use the search bar, simply type in the keyword or phrase you are looking for. Once you begin typing, the search bar will become active, and you will see a blue Search button next to it. You can use this button to execute the search. If you need to clear the search, click the X icon within the search bar.

In addition to the search bar, Blended provides multiple filter options to narrow your search results. To use the filters, select one or more criteria from the dropdown menu. The table will then update to show only the entries that match your selected filters. This can help you quickly locate specific production data relevant to your facility management needs.
